Announcement of Firm Name Change
With great pleasure, we announce that our firm will now be known as Friedman Kaplan Seiler Adelman & Robbins LLP. The addition of partner Lawrence Robbins to the firm’s name recognizes his stellar career as a renowned litigator with a multi-faceted practice including high-stakes complex commercial and bankruptcy litigation, high-profile investigations, twenty arguments before the United States Supreme Court, and many important pro bono matters, as well as Larry’s major contributions to our firm since joining the partnership last year. We all look forward to continuing to serve our clients and building upon the special attributes of our firm in the years ahead.
Friedman Kaplan founder Edward Friedman noted, “As a founding partner of Robbins, Russell, Englert, Orseck & Untereiner LLP, which was one of the most highly regarded trial and appellate firms in the country, Larry understands and embodies the balance of a sophisticated legal practice with the collaborative and inclusive culture we’ve established at the firm over the years. Long before he joined our partnership, Larry was a friend – and often a colleague – of Friedman Kaplan, and it is a tremendous honor to incorporate his name into the future of the firm.”
Founded in 1986 as Friedman & Kaplan, the firm has grown and evolved over the past 37 years, while staying constant in the foundational principles established by the small group of founders. Today, Friedman Kaplan Seiler Adelman & Robbins is a dynamic boutique firm with lawyers who are committed to excellence and creativity in the practice of law and a culture in which attorneys and other business professionals truly enjoy collaborating to offer our clients a superb level of service.
“We are incredibly excited for this next chapter for our firm. Larry is a preeminent lawyer with all the attributes of excellence and enjoyment of the practice of law that we hold dear to the fabric of Friedman Kaplan,” said Management Committee member Anne Beaumont.
