Friedman Kaplan Celebrates 30-Year Anniversary
Friedman Kaplan is proud to announce that it is celebrating its 30-year anniversary. The firm was founded in 1986 in the belief that a small group of talented and dedicated lawyers could offer the most sophisticated clients, facing the most difficult challenges, not only exceptional, creative, and tailored legal advice, but also a level of client service rarely seen in modern business. The firm remains dedicated to that mission, and looks forward to many more years of helping its clients to achieve their goals.
Eric Seiler, a founding member of the firm and its current Managing Partner, said, “I can’t believe it’s already been 30 years. It seems like only yesterday I met with Bruce Kaplan, Ed Friedman, and Bob Kaplan to discuss the possibility of forming a firm. So many exciting things have happened since then, and we’re very proud to reach this milestone. It continues to be our privilege to help our clients rise to their most complicated challenges, and we are both proud of the firm’s past and excited for its future.”
Over the course of its history, the firm has handled many high-profile and complicated disputes and transactions. From representing the world’s largest wireless telecommunications companies in a series of industry-shaping mergers and acquisitions, to convincing an appellate court – virtually overnight – to vacate an order blocking Wells Fargo’s acquisition of Wachovia during the financial crisis, it has been an exciting ride. The firm looks forward to meeting new challenges and continuing to represent its clients, in litigation, corporate, and white collar, with the intensity, dedication, and creativity that they have come to expect.
