Mulligan, McCall Speak on FCPA at Anti-Corruption Conference
Friedman Kaplan partner Mary Mulligan and associate Christopher McCall participated in a two-day conference titled "Watchdog II Conference: Summit on Anti-Corruption Strategies," hosted by then Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the New York City Department of Investigation. The conference featured presentations and discussions by academics, government officials, lawyers, and other professionals on a variety of anti-corruption topics, including the causes of corruption, obstacles to prevention, and successful prevention strategies.
The conference was held on July 31, 2013 at The Tweed Courthouse and on August 1, 2013 at Gracie Mansion. Ms. Mulligan and Mr. McCall's presentation, which discussed the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, was held in the afternoon on August 1.
